 The upgrade package comes in a wooden box and consists
of a sophisticated
Aplanatic condenser that can be used for both Brightfield and Oblique observation. It includes two interchangeable top lens elements,
a 1.3 N.A. lens for medium to high-power objectives and a 0.3 N.A. lens
for
low-power objectives, as well as an iris diaphragm. A turn of the knurled knob laterally shifts the iris diaphragm from the scope's optical axis. The graduated scale measures the shift from the Brightfield position to ±10mm with a vernier accurate to 1mm.
